Role Overview

We are hiring a moderate-to-experienced computer field technician to provide on-site and remote technical support for a local IT services company. This role requires strong customer service and business communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the discipline to prepare and research before client appointments. You will collaborate with other technicians and developers as needed and manage your own workflow without direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Onsite support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues at client locations.
• Remote support: Provide phone, email, and remote desktop assistance when appropriate.
• Field visits: Schedule and perform client site visits for installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, timely service records, ticket notes, and client-facing documentation.
• Preparation and research: Independently research issues and prepare for appointments to ensure efficient, first-visit resolutions.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, software engineers, and other technicians on escalations and projects.
• Customer service: Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to non-technical clients, both verbally and in writing.
