Systems Engineer III serves a critical role in development of Orion Space Solutions products and programs. This critical role is responsible for all aspects of systems design excellence at Orion Space Solutions, on complex spacecraft and payload products. You will be considered a systems engineering technical authority within OSS. Key Responsibilities* Perform systems engineering activities in all stages of product design, from customer requirements derivation, through design, verification and validation, AI&T, and product launch. * Derive and manage requirements at all levels of complex space systems, sub-systems and components. * Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and system-oriented products through their entire life cycle. * Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. * You will author and design verification and validation (V&V) methods and document them through procedures. * You will translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with other cross-functional teams to develop derived level design implementation requirements. * You will establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development timeline. * Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. * Revie...
