IT Support Engineer

AdvanTech is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer with prior 2 year MSP experience to provide advanced technical support across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and managed network environments. This is not an entry-level or traditional help desk role. Candidates must be able to troubleshoot independently, communicate confidently with clients, and take ownership of issues from resolution through documentation.

Qualifications – IT Support Engineer Required:

• Proven 2 year experience working in an MSP environment as an IT Engineer or similar role
• Strong troubleshooting ability across Windows workstations and servers
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, VLANs)
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V preferred)
• Ability to manage workload independently without micromanagement
• Clear, professional communication skills with non-technical users and business decision-makers
• Based in the Warner Robins / Macon area with reliable transportation for onsite client support

Preferred

• Experience with Ubiquiti or similar managed networking platforms
• Experience supporting VoIP systems
• Exposure to server migrations and infrastructure projects

Responsibilities – IT Support Engineer

• Provide remote and onsite support for managed clients across workstations, servers, networking equipment, and VoIP systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows environments, Microsoft 365, VPNs, firewalls, printers, and email systems
• Assist with and lead server-related work including domain controllers, application servers, and system migrations
• Support Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V virtualization, and terminal services environments
