Senior IBM DB2 Database Administrator This is a Remote position but Interview is IN PERSON ONLY About this Position / Responsibilities The role will require you to manage, configure, and maintain DB2 databases running on mainframe platforms. Perform database installation, upgrades, patches, migrations, and version management. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and tune DB2 components to ensure high availability. Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to meet project continuity requirements. Skills: • 15+ years of strong hands on experience with IBM DB2 (LUW or z/OS depending on environment). • Expertise in database design, data modeling, schema management, and SQL optimization. • Knowledge of high availability technologies (HADR, replication ,failover, clustering). • Experience supporting complex, transactional, high volume systems. • Familiarity with ETL processes, Data Mining, Data Storage, Data warehousing • Knowledge of IBM batch jobs, and integration with enterprise applications. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance tuning skills. Responsibilities: The Senior DB2 database administrator position requires in-depth knowledge of IBMDB2 database background using with IBM Utilities and BMC tools. • Support the application team by optimizing database queries, stored procedures, packages, and triggers. • Work closely with developers to integrate enhancements, fixes, and new functionalities aligned with business needs.
