Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database architecture, cloud migrations, high availability/disaster recovery, automation, and enterprise infrastructure.

The Technical Architect will lead complex technology implementations and provide hands-on architectural direction across enterprise systems. This role will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, highly available solutions; modernizing and migrating SQL Server environments; developing proof-of-concepts and prototypes; and ensuring technical architecture remains aligned with business objectives and future growth.

Full remote or hybrid onsite/remote work schedules will be considered.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in systems development, systems analysis, programming, testing, architecture, or related technology disciplines.
• 10+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• 5+ years managing large-scale enterprise SQL Server environments, preferably 300+ servers.
• 5+ years of SQL Server HA/DR and Always On Availability Groups experience.
• 5+ years of SQL Server migration and upgrade experience.
• 5+ years of database automation/scripting experience.
• 3+ years of SQL Server cloud migration experience.
• 3+ years of Azure SQL and/or Azure SQL Managed Instance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Education Required

• This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field
• Cloud certifications such as Azure Fundamentals and above, AWS Cloud Practitioner and above, Microsoft Professional, or Professional Google Cloud.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
