About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams to build cloud-native solutions, automate infrastructure, and optimize cloud environments across enterprise applications.

This is a 100% remote opportunity. Candidates must be open to relocation anywhere within the United States based on client or project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep templates.
  • Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Software Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to support cloud-based applications.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools.
  • Configure cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), IAM, storage, and compute resources.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and organizational standards.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 0–5 years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: (preferred)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
  • Familiarity with serverless computing, microservices, and containerized applications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
