Description

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems in Dahlgren, VA.

The Systems Engineer will develop and design data analysis procedures, methods and tools to review and analyze data from various testing efforts. Job responsibilities will include designing and developing analysis material, analyzing data as well and preparing reports and present the findings of the analysis to help in proving system methods, capabilities and readiness of the system.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline and two (2)+ years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Must have experience with MATLAB
• Testing and evaluation experience
• Experience related to gun weapon systems and/or Army/Navy programs
• Ability to communicate with all levels of team members on the project
• Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military

personnel

* Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Project, PowerPoint,

and Word)

* Must have an interim Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

• Experience with Hyper Velocity Weapons preferred
• Familiarity with research and development projects a plus
