Sr Ethernet AI Network Engineer

Overview

As a Sr Ethernet AI Network Engineer, you’ll design, configure, and support secure, resilient Ethernet and IP networks for AI and data center environments. You’ll connect network architecture with IT infrastructure, cloud security, and systems operations to keep services reliable and ready to scale. Your impact: By improving network availability and performance, you help engineering and operations teams move data reliably and deliver dependable services.

Responsibilities

• Design and administer LAN and WAN infrastructure, Ethernet switching, IP networking, routing, and network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, firewalls, VPNs, IPsec, load balancing, QoS, and high-availability systems.
• Monitor network health and security using tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, and PRTG; support vulnerability assessment, IDS, authentication, encryption, and remote access.
• Support data center, SAN, VMware/vSphere, AWS, and Azure environments, plus DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Active Directory, and GPO services.
• Automate configuration and operations with Ansible and scripting; document changes and follow Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and ITIL practices.

Experience

• Strong computer networking and network engineering experience, including network design, administration, installation, support, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA, Meraki, VPN management, PKI, SSO, SSL, HTTPS, SSH, SFTP, FTP, NFS, and VoIP.
• Experience with Linux distributions such as Debian, CentOS, openSUSE, Ubuntu, and BSD; familiarity with Windows, macOS, Solaris, and UNIX is useful.
• Scripting or development experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, SQL, or APIs; knowledge of virtualization and Citrix is a plus.
• Background in IT, system administration, network security, telecommunication, or communications systems engineering; computer science education is relevant.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
