The Software Engineering Supervisor provides direct supervision to the software development team of engineers for new products, enhancements, and defect resolution.

This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

What you’ll be responsible for

* Directly supervises the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software solutions. * Oversees the definition and documentation of business and technical design requirements. Oversees the preparation of technical design specifications, analysis, and recommendations. * Ensures all software solutions and enhancements are fully tested, debugged, and meet product quality standards prior to release to QA. * Determines practicality of ideas based on projected costs and sales potential. * Ensures clarity on our technology strategy and identifies improvements needed at the strategic level to drive the teams forward * Assists with coding, debugging, and other similar development-related activities. * May provide guidance for escalated issues. * May prepare periodic performance appraisals of direct reports and submits to the department manag
