Senior Software Engineer, Web (Tinder LLC, New York, New York)

Design, implement, and maintain responsive and interactive web applications using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.) with accessibility in mind. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following coding standards and best practices. Develop and execute test cases to ensure the reliability and functionality of web applications and to ensure the web app maintains its accessibility standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and contribute to the overall product roadmap. Investigate and resolve issues reported by users or QA testers promptly. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Evaluate and integrate emerging web technologies and frameworks to optimize performance and scalability. Oversee deployment and maintenance processes, ensuring continuous improvement and high availability in production environments. Lead all aspects of software development and product engineering. Mentor junior engineers. Manage ongoing maintenance of existing systems.

Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site in New York, NY office when not remote. Salary: $189,592 - $230,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any position involving building, architecting, and leading development of large-scale, consumer-facing web applications using modern web technologies.
