Senior R&D Software Developer (C# / C++)

Overview

We are hiring a Senior R&D Software Developer to join the Simulation & Learning team at AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software. This team builds cutting-edge engineering simulation solutions for customers in the chemical, energy, sustainability, and oil & gas industries.

In this role, you will work on Control Emulation products — software that enables customers to create digital twins of their Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) at their industrial facilities. This is a hands-on software development role where you will work closely with the software architect to develop, maintain, and improve existing control emulation products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain existing control emulation software products
• Collaborate with the software architect on design decisions
• Perform technical troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause diagnosis of product issues
• Develop workarounds and fixes for identified product issues
• Document activities and findings in configuration management systems
• Attend regular team meetings and provide updates on current work progress
