Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer

to support a mission-critical effort focused on advancing assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing capabilities for military platforms operating in complex and contested environments.

In this role, you will design, develop, debug, and test embedded software that supports real-time system functionality, interface integration, and reliable data communication across connected systems. This is a strong fit for an engineer who enjoys hands-on C++ development, I/O and interface work, embedded system troubleshooting, and building software that directly supports resilient navigation and timing capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in embedded software, experience with back-end C++ and system interfaces, and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams to validate software performance and system integrity. Experience with Embedded Linux, DDS communications, Qt or XAML GUI tools, MIL-STD-1553, I2C, BSPs, drivers, or PNT-D technologies is highly valuable.

*This opportunity may be performed in a remote or hybrid/onsite capacity, with travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, up to 25% as needed. U.S. citizenship is required.*
