Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer at SBE Vision builds and maintains the CI/CD, release, and cloud infrastructure behind the SBE Vision platform, along with SBE's internal deployments of the engineering tools the platform connects to.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that build, test, and publish the platform's services and integrations.
• Manage software releases, container registries, and build artifacts.
• Maintain Helm charts and validate support for airgapped installs and upgrades.
• Support deployments across GKE, AKS, EKS (including AWS GovCloud).
• Operate SBE's internal Kubernetes environments, including capacity, networking, certificates, and cloud cost.
• Own SBE's internal deployments of the tools the platform integrates with, such as Jira, IBM DOORS Next, Windchill, and Teamcenter. Install, license, upgrade, and back them up, and keep them available for testing and demonstrations.
• Maintain container security through hardened images, vulnerability scanning, and remediation.
• Set up logging, metrics, and alerting, and troubleshoot deployment incidents with the engineering team.
• Improve the automation, security, and cost efficiency of the infrastructure.

Desired Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 4 to 7 years of DevOps, site reliability, or infrastructure engineering experience. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and GitLab CI or a similar system. Proficiency with Python, Bash, and Terraform. Linux administration experience, including running enterprise applications and their databases.

A plus: administering Jira, DOORS Next, Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar engineering tools; airgapped or classified environments; Iron Bank images and FIPS 140; Keycloak or another OIDC provider; Vault or a cloud key management service; building Rust or Java projects in CI; certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

Pay: $136,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
