Ashton North is partnering with an established global technology company to identify a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges. This is not a typical web application development role.

You'll help build the backend platforms, APIs, middleware, and cloud services that enable connected devices to communicate seamlessly across a sophisticated ecosystem. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Build scalable REST and GraphQL APIs that support enterprise applications and connected devices.
• Develop middleware and platform services that enable secure, reliable communication across distributed systems.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions within AWS environments.
• Contribute to the architecture of highly available, scalable distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend, hardware, embedded, and product engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Improve software quality through automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in architectural planning, technical discussions, and long-term platform strategy.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability across multiple products.
