Robotic Control Systems Engineer (CAN / PLC / Robotics)

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Robotic Control Systems Engineer specializing in Controller Area Network (CAN), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and sensor integration (LiDAR). Responsibilities

• Design and program vehicle control systems. Build CODESYS-based programs and install/program ECUs to control heavy equipment functions.
• Work with CAN bus networks on heavy machinery as part of the development and integration process.
• Build out LiDAR based perception capability. Integrate LiDAR (and camera) sensors onto machines, process and stream that sensor data.
• Develop and troubleshoot control logic using ladder logic (LD) or structured text (ST), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and distributed control systems (DCS) to ensure reliable operation of automation equipment
• Establish process and infrastructure. You'll create the testing methodology, documentation, and technical standards the team will use going forward.
• Build and lead a team. As the program grows, recruit, mentor, and manage engineers to scale this work across our equipment fleet.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, safety, and product stakeholders to define requirements and roll out capabilities safely.
• Configure human-machine interfaces (HMI) for intuitive operator control and real-time system monitoring
