Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Overview

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you’ll build and run automated and manual tests that help teams deliver reliable software. You’ll work across the software development life cycle (SDLC), partnering with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks, and resolve defects. Your impact: thorough testing helps users rely on secure, functional web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute functional, system, unit, user acceptance, mobile, and performance testing; design test cases and maintain QA test plans.
• Develop and maintain automation using Playwright, Java, JavaScript, Python, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber; test Android and iOS mobile applications, user interfaces, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and web services.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot software, debug failures, perform root cause analysis, and track defects through resolution.
• Integrate testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps workflows; support release management and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
• Collaborate in Agile or Waterfall environments, using data analysis and business analysis to assess requirements and communicate findings.

Qualifications

• Quality assurance experience within information technology (IT), with knowledge of software testing, test automation, QA test execution, test case design, and requirements gathering.
• Hands-on experience with relevant tools and technologies such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, SVN, TFS, Jenkins, Jira, HP ALM, Maven, Ant, Visual Studio, Eclipse, LoadRunner, and version control.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, and PL/SQL; JDBC, JSON, XML, APIs, service-oriented architecture, and MVC.
• Knowledge of.NET, C, C++, HTML, CSS, JSP, Bash, Windows, operating systems, computer networking, AWS, or Azure is useful; experience with A/B testing and technical support is also valued.
• Strong analysis, scripting, debugging, and communication skills; able to work with Scrum teams and support software development.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
