Principal II, Network Engineer

Overview: ROLE AT A GLANCE:

The Principal II, Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting global network services across the enterprise. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable delivery and operational excellence. This position requires deep expertise across multiple network technologies, providing leadership in architecture, engineering, and release management across a global environment. The role collaborates with senior IT leaders, vendors, and internal technology partners, and influences strategic direction to align with business and operational goals. HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Lead technical review and governance of global network architecture, including performance, capacity, and utilization management
• Define and establish network capabilities, standards, and processes to support both tactical and strategic objectives
• Lead support and continuous improvement of network platforms through maintenance, enhancements, and incident resolution
• Drive strategic network architecture decisions and long-term technology direction
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, work with minimal guidance and balance workload based on direction from senior management and/or business driver
• Validated customer service skills, specifically, the ability to build and nurture customer relationships and respond to customer needs.
• Ensure an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
• Proactively identify, escalate, and drive resolution of risks impacting network delivery and stability
• Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans, scope of work, and other user documentation of all moves, adds, and changes regarding the wide-area network
• Ability to evaluate existing communications systems, identify deficiencies, and make network performance recommendations
