Position Overview

WRAAB is seeking an experienced Nuclear Quality Assurance Manual (QAM) Specialist to lead a comprehensive review, revision, and modernization of a client's Quality Assurance Manual and associated Quality Assurance Program.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing, maintaining, or implementing nuclear Quality Assurance Programs and will be familiar with applicable NRC requirements, ASME NQA-1, and other industry standards relevant to nuclear facilities and nuclear-related organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing Quality Assurance Manual (QAM).
• Review the existing Quality Assurance Program against applicable regulatory and industry requirements.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, outdated requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop a revised and modernized QAM reflecting the client's current organization, processes, responsibilities, and business activities.
• Ensure appropriate alignment with applicable requirements, including 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, ASME NQA-1, and other applicable requirements.
• Review and update QA program elements, including:
• Organization and responsibilities
• Quality assurance program controls
• Design control
• Procurement and supplier controls
• Document control
• Records management
• Inspection and testing
• Nonconformance control
• Corrective action
• Audits and assessments
• Quality-affecting software controls
• Training and qualification
• Quality assurance of special processes
