Junior Full Stack Developer

Job Summary

This position supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Cargo Systems Program Directorate (CSPD) in the development, enhancement, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of the mission-critical CTPAT and Trade Compliance (TC) portal applications. We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with demonstrated Angular and Java expertise to contribute across the complete development lifecycle — from designing responsive, accessible Angular 14+ front-end interfaces to building and sustaining Java/Spring Boot back-end services, PostgreSQL data layers, and AWS EKS containerized deployments. The successful candidate will operate within a CBP-directed Agile development team, delivering tested, secure, and compliant software increments that support CTPAT's evolving mission requirements, including Auto Vetting, system integrations with ATS and ACE, and Government-to-Government (G2G) interoperability. This is a mission-critical national security program requiring strong Angular front-end capabilities to address a key team skill gap, combined with back-end proficiency to sustain full-lifecycle delivery. The candidate will collaborate with government stakeholders, business analysts, security engineers, and cross-functional delivery teams in a sprint-driven environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Angular 14+ for building responsive, accessible government-facing portal interfaces
• Experience with Angular Material component library for consistent, Section 508-compliant UI development
• Proficiency in TypeScript for scalable, type-safe front-end development
