General Purpose of Job

To administer and provide central accountability for all Infrastructure server services which include those activities associated with the function, organization, expansion and technical support of existing and future Windows and Linux-based physical and virtual system configurations and supporting systems software (e.g., operating systems, utilities, databases, cloud services and middleware) necessary to deliver the required services (e.g. hosting, web, messaging, remote access, security administration) to support Edfinancial Services, EdAmerica and Medfinancial systems. To serve as an escalation point for System Administrators.

Duties and Responsibilities (Daily and Monthly)

Exhibit a broad base of knowledge and skills in server infrastructure, and operating systems to include Windows, Linux, Hyper-V, VMware, and Microsoft Azure including but not limited to IaaS, SaaS, PaaS and serverless services. Maintain the active directory environment including Azure Active Directory, DHCP, GPO, DNS, and certificate management. Manage and monitor M365 environment including mail flow and collaboration products such as email, Sharepoint, Dynamics, Teams, and licensing. Provide primary support for all physical and virtual servers. Maintain documentation on hardware/software. Monitor services for growth and usage trends. Perform long-term capacity planning in conjunction with other team members that would determine both hardware and software purchases. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all servers, applications, services, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and sFTP processes.
