Position Summary

We are looking to hire an IT Support Technician to provide support to our clients for troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, software and computer peripherals related issues. This is a full-time position working at our business office in Hunt Valley, MD. This position also requires traveling to client sites for hardware installations, basic cablings, software upgrades, systems integrations, and other IT related issues.

To ensure success as a IT Support Technician, you should have some knowledge of home and office systems, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. A top-class IT Support Technician provides fast and effective support for clients experiencing basic hardware and software issues.

Position Requirements and Responsibilities

Candidates must have experience in IT support or customer service support. All acceptable candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail skills. The candidate must also have the following:

• Document and manage assigned support tickets in a timely manner.
• Respond to client support requests by phone, remote access and/or email.
• Provide technical support to clients to find out the nature of the problem.
• Run diagnostics to resolve customer reported issues.
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
• Escalate support tickets to the next Tier if unable to resolve the issues.
• Provide a follow-up call to clients to ensure issues are resolved.
• Travel to client’s sites for hardware equipment and project installation.
