IT Support Technician/IT Specialist (Tier 1)

Saint John’s Catholic Preparatory School, an independent Catholic coed high school, seeks an experienced, professional, full-time IT Support Technician/IT Specialist. This opportunity is for in-person, Teir 1 support. A bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in school technology, and at least five years of industry experience.

The IT Support Technician/IT Specialist is a 12-month position. This Tier 1 position reports to the Head of School as well as our external MSP (Managed Service Provider).

Duties include

· Ordering teacher/student computers and other tech equipment

· Maintain equipment Inventory

· Phone system and Key fobs

· Repairs, in-house or send out to vendor, keeping critical log

· Assist with Blackbaud, student information platform

· New stadium equipment audio, PA and wireless

· Setup and maintenance of teacher and student computers

· Printer setup and maintenance

Required Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field

· 5+ years of experience in an IT Support Technician or IT Specialist role

· 2+ years of experience working directly with academic technology

· Networking, Active Directory

· Wireless networking

· Setup and maintenance of computers (for students and faculty), printers and other devices

Desired Skills and Experience

· Relate well with faculty, staff, and students

· Familiarity with:

o 1 to 1 student computer program

o Zoom classes/remote classroom

o AV equipment

o Classroom technology

§ i.e. projectors, smartboards, wireless devices, Blue Tooth devices

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000
