Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to ensure system and application deliverables meet all required cyber security policies and regulations for the Technical Advisory and Assistance Services (TAAS) program at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: * Assist in the coordination of system security implementation and processes for the development or modification of systems. * Provide subject matter expertise to all acquisitions and security documentation as defined in DODI 8500.01 “Cybersecurity”. * Assist in the system assessment and authorization (A&A) and COMSEC Certification. * Assist with the design, development, implementation, integration of systems information assurance/cybersecurity and cryptographic architecture. * Serve as a PMO expert of system security implementation on assigned systems to include IA security protections and requirements. * Conduct technical and nontechnical reviews and observe audits as necessary to support development and test efforts.

Qualifications

10+ years experience in cyber security or information assurance including technical experience related to cryptographic engineering architecture, requirements determination, development, and implementation. Master’s degree in a related field. Must hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO. Experience with security systems engineering involving hardware and software operating systems and application solutions. Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems. Knowledge of IA vulnerability testing. Experience with cryptographic development and certification processes in accordance with NSA/CSS policies.
