Full Stack / Back-End Software Developer

We are a West Michigan manufacturer building custom internal tools, including an in-house ERP and client ordering portals. We need an on-site Software Developer with a strong back-end orientation to support, maintain, and expand our custom web application suite. Please note that this is not a remote position.

This role focuses on back-end logic, database integrations, and operational workflows, with occasional front-end UI tweaks. You will work directly in our production codebase to solve real manufacturing and operational challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Back-End Development: Build core business logic, data models, and API integrations for our ERP and ordering platforms.
• System Maintenance: Navigate, optimize, and refactor existing code to resolve issues and build new features.
• Full-Stack Tweaks: Handle basic front-end updates (HTML/CSS/JS) to keep internal interfaces clean and functional.
• Data Integrity: Ensure query performance and reliable system communication across manufacturing workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional web development experience centered on back-end logic and databases.
• Open Stack Approach: We use Laravel and Vue, but syntax is secondary to strong core engineering principles. Experience in any modern stack (.NET, Java, Python, Node, Ruby, PHP) translates well.
• Database & API Skills: Experience writing efficient relational database queries (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and integrating APIs.
• Pragmatic Mindset: Comfortable maintaining and improving an existing production codebase rather than building from scratch.
• On-Site Presence: MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ON-SITE AT OUR WEST MICHIGAN FACILITY.
