Our EXPOCAD® and 3e software platforms help event organizers, venues, and service contractors manage events, design exhibition floor plans, and streamline business operations.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Front End Software Developer to join our development team. This position will focus primarily on developing and enhancing our 3e web-based event management platform.

The ideal candidate has strong JavaScript development skills, an eye for usability, and experience building responsive, data-driven web applications. We're looking for someone who can quickly become familiar with an existing application, work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to new features and ongoing product improvements.

You'll work closely with our existing development team during regular business hours in a collaborative environment where your contributions have a direct impact on our products and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front end functionality using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS within an ASP.NET Core MVC and Razor environment.
• Build responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces, including configurable forms, administrative tools, directories, and multi-step workflows.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate application programming interfaces (APIs) and business logic.
• Develop new features and enhance existing application functionality.
• Implement and maintain interactive forms, conditional fields, validation, and application state management.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve front end issues, including asynchronous requests, data handling, and unexpected application behavior.
• Improve application performance, usability, and maintainability while ensuring changes do not disrupt existing functionality.
• Take ownership of assigned development work from requirements through implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Use modern development tools, including artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted coding tools, to improve development efficiency and software quality.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and ongoing product improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience developing and maintaining production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery, including DOM manipulation, event handling, asynchronous requests, and JSON API integration.
• Solid working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
• Experience developing interactive, data-driven interfaces, including forms, validation, and multi-step workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate unfamiliar code and identify underlying issues.
• Understanding of browser compatibility, front end performance, and application state management.
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and deliver reliable, maintainable code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor/CSHTML, and Bootstrap.
• Familiarity with C# and the Microsoft .NET development environment.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Experience developing complex business applications, dashboards, or administrative interfaces.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and testing.
• Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, npm, or similar development tools.
• Understanding of web accessibility and user experience (UX) principles.
• Interest in expanding into full-stack software development.

A formal degree is not required. Demonstrated development ability, practical experience, and strong problem-solving skills are more important than a specific number of years in the industry.
