Blu Omega is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a federal program focused on enterprise cybersecurity activities for the National Cancer Institute. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for analyzing security requirements, supporting security solutions, and developing security documentation across NCI systems and environments. The position requires experience supporting cybersecurity risk management, assessment, authorization, and security engineering within a mission-driven environment.

The program provides enterprise cybersecurity support services, including governance, risk & compliance, assessment & authorization, security operations, and security engineering for the National Cancer Institute.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cybersecurity requirements and support identification of appropriate security solutions
• Perform security risk analysis and assist with risk assessments
• Gather and organize technical information related to systems, security tools, and requirements
• Support development and maintenance of security standards, procedures, and documentation
• Assist with vulnerability management, security controls, and remediation activities
• Support RMF, assessment, and authorization activities as assigned
• Collaborate with technical and cybersecurity teams to identify and address security risks
• Assist with security engineering, monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts
• Document findings, recommendations, and technical information

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related IT/security roles
• Experience with cybersecurity risk, security requirements, vulnerability management, or security controls
• Familiarity with NIST, RMF, FISMA, assessment, and authorization concepts
• Ability to analyze technical info
