Contract Developer: TypeScript Backend

## About the Role

We're hiring a **contract developer with working software development experience. Day to day you'll write TypeScript services backed by Prisma** and PostgreSQL: production APIs, multi-tenant data models, and integrations with the external systems our customers already use.

This is a hands-on role. You'll work with the existing team to ship features end to end.

## Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST APIs and product features in TypeScript
• Design and maintain schemas, migrations, and queries with **Prisma and PostgreSQL**, including multi-tenant data
• Integrate third-party APIs such as identity providers, campus systems, payments, storage, email, and AI
• Own auth, access control, tenant isolation, audit trails, data protection, performance, and error handling
• Write unit and integration tests, ship features end to end, and support CI/CD, deploys, observability, and production issues

## Required Qualifications

• At least **3 years** building web applications
• Comfortable in **small, results-driven teams**
• Strong production experience with **TypeScript** backends (Node.js)
• Solid **Prisma (or similar ORM) experience with PostgreSQL**: schema design, migrations, query patterns, multi-tenant modeling
• Experience designing and versioning **REST APIs** used by web clients and external partners
• Solid grip on **auth**: JWT, sessions, RBAC/ABAC, OAuth2/OIDC
• Practical **automated testing** (Jest or similar) at unit and integration levels
• Comfort with Git, CI/CD, and shipping to the cloud
• Clear writing and speaking: you can walk through a design and its tradeoffs
• Available for **contract** work and fine collaborating async
