Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using technologies such as C#, Java, Python, Node.js, and .NET frameworks.
• Design and optimize database schemas for relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Implement microservices architecture utilizing RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and message queuing systems to ensure modularity and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with React, Angular, or Vue.js through well-defined APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance optimization, security best practices, and adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) principles.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to identify issues early in the development process; utilize tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, or TFS for version control and continuous integration.
• Participate actively in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering using languages such as C#, Java, Python or Ruby on Rails.
• Extensive knowledge of web development frameworks including ASP.NET <PERSON>, MVC architecture, WCF services, and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with database design and management for SQL (Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL), MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL (MongoDB) systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications; understanding of CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), TypeScript along with UI/UX principles.
• Strong understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), UML diagrams for system design, multithreading concepts and application debugging techniques.
• Knowledge of version control systems including GitHub or SVN; experience working within Agile methodologies is preferred.
