Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer to support the S&S Data Science team's External Data function. You will build and maintain the pipelines that bring third-party data sources into our underwriting, claims, and business intelligence workflows, working alongside an established data engineer. What you will do:* Build and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines that feed a cloud data warehouse * Develop, schedule, and monitor cloud data jobs, diagnosing failures and tuning for cost and performance * Write idempotent load logic that handles reprocessing and backfills without creating duplicate data * Integrate external data providers and APIs with authentication, error handling, and retries * Implement data quality checks, validation, and alerting to catch pipeline issues early * Manage and deploy pipelines using infr
